BANK OF AMERICA TROJAN DROPPER

BANK OF AMERICA TROJAN DROPPER

I received the below email this morning...

Bank of America Alert: SiteKey Confirmation

This message has been processed by Symantec's AntiVirus Technology.

top-level-msg was infected with the malicious virus
Trojan.Dropper and has been deleted because the file cannot be cleaned.

For more information on antivirus tips and technology, visit http://ses.symantec.com/

How to Prevent Computer CatastropheI don't even possess a Bank of America account but out of curiosity I opened
it anyway and found, THANK GOODNESS, the entire message and attachment were deleted. In days gone by, my computer would have been infected and was infected on more than one occasion, rendering me helpless to a $$$ trip to the computer repair shop. What I don't understand is WHY DO PEOPLE ENJOY WRECKING HAVOC ON THEIR FELLOW MAN BY CREATING VIRUS PROGRAMS? The hackers don't receive compensation (or do they) for their menacing misdeeds. They don't even get to enjoy watching someone go through the frustrations of a f**ked up system. I Googled this question hoping to find an answer and came upon this link:

Who Writes Malicious Programs and Why?

http://www.viruslist.com/en/viruses/encyclopedia?chapter=153280553

In this day of high-tech communication, we must all be vigilant and protect ourselves against these mischievous or criminal culprits. There is no room for naivety or ignorance. I use Yahoo mail for some protection (it was their software that deleted this bank America virus and protected me against my curiosity) and also I have a free AVG virus program on my computer that updates daily and occasionally captures a villain virus or Trojan horse. If you are interested you can download it here: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/

Another good free tool is Spybot software which searches and destroys any spyware attached to a computer. Read about it here:

Beware and thanks http:thinkingblue.blogspot.com

PS: I wanted to blog this information so that people could become aware of another yet malicious virus program circulating the Internet systems. Perhaps, this menace to our computing well-being should be an important issue for our presidential candidates to address. If it isn't today then I'm sure it will be in the future when threats to society will be of a high-tech, elusive nature which can be more lethal than the WMD intimidation, thrust upon us 7/24. If there is anything that can take our economic stability down faster than Corporate greed, it is the powerful control of our cyber-machines, by cyber-terrorists.

Embarrassingly Stupid Americans!

Bill Maher's Friday March 7, 2008 episode of New Rules, says it all. Bill states, "Politicians have got to stop saying, AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE SMARTER THAN THAT!" Bill bellows, "NO THEY ARE NOT!" And oh, is he ever so correct in that statement. Read this article EMBARRASSINGLY STUPID AMERICANS and judge for yourself.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH US AMERICANS? HOW DID WE GET SO DUMB? It is truly an embarrassment. But what can you expect when these same Americans voted in for their Commander-In-Cheif, one of the stupidest boneheads ever to walk this planet. I'm not saying Dubya is mentally incompetent but he is so dumb his presence sparked a slew of YO PRES'
SO DUMB... jokes
:

Yo Pres' so dumb I told him Christmas was around the corner, and he went lookin'.

Yo Pres' so dumb that he tripped over a cordless phone.

Your Pres' so dumb that he got smacked by a statue.

Yo Pres' so dumb he got locked in a toilet and pissed himself.

Yo Pres' so dumb , I told him he lost his mind, and he started looking for it.

Yo Pres' so dumb he got hit by a parked car.

Yo Pres' so dumb when he went to a football game he thought the quarter back was a refund!

Yo Pres' so dumb he stole a free sample.

Yo Pres' so dumb he thought fruit punch was a gay boxer.

Yo Pres' so dumb he waited all day at a stop sign.

Now enjoy Bill Maher's NEW RULES for March 7, 2008. Thanks, thinkingblue.blogspot.com

Read the article below and feel sad, feel very very mournful for most of the people in our Nation.

Embarrassingly Stupid Americans -- One in Five Believes Sun Revolves Around Earth

POSTED BY Dr. Mercola March 11 2008

How did Americans ever get so intellectually inept?

The title of this article, that an embarrassingly high number of Americans believe that the sun revolves around the Earth, is only one point argued by the Washington Post’s Susan Jacoby, in her attempt to prove that Americans are in serious intellectual trouble, facing a virulent mixture of anti-intellectualism, anti-rationalism and low expectations.

What else is signaling that Americans are becoming increasingly dumbed-down as a society?

Reading -- of books, newspapers and magazines -- is on the decline. A 2007 study
even found that 80 percent of American families did not buy or read a book in 2006.

Attention spans are declining; Jacoby suggests this is due to television and
videos. For instance, between 1968 and 1988, the average sound bite on the news
for a presidential candidate dropped from 42.3 seconds to 9.8 seconds. By 2000,
according to a Harvard study, the daily candidate bite was down to just 7.8 seconds.

General knowledge is eroding. This is evidenced not only by the fact that one in
five U.S. adults believe the sun revolves around the Earth, but also many others.

Yet, it’s not bad enough that knowledge is quickly declining in the United
States. On top of that, there is an arrogance about this lack of knowledge,
almost as if a good portion of the population is saying, “We know we’re ignorant, but we don’t care!”

Consider, for instance, that a 2006 survey by National Geographic-Roper found
that nearly half of young Americans did not think it was necessary to know the
location of other countries in which important news was being made. And another
one-third felt it was “not at all important” to know a foreign language.

Why is this so concerning? Because …

Fear and Ignorance Go Hand in Hand

The more that you are kept in the dark, either due to your own lack of
inquisitiveness or the workings of an unscrupulous industry (such as the food
industry that markets junk foods and soda to children as though it is something
they should be consuming), the easier you are to manipulate.

And this is where a population of people who do not possess their own knowledge
base will easily believe, for instance, that they must quickly get vaccinated to
protect themselves against an imaginary pandemic like the bird flu, or that food
from their local supermarket is somehow safer than food grown by a farmer down the road.

Obviously, most of you reading this do not fall into this category, as you are
actively seeking more knowledge, just by reading this.

Well, it is my goal to help create a fundamental paradigm shift in people’s
consciousness about health, and also about empowerment. Because the more you
know, the more you will realize that you have the power to impart positive
changes in your life, and the lives of those around you.

And, ultimately, living a positive life is really what it is all about.

We Are All On Drugs!

Whether you are a pharmaceutical pill popper or not, you still are taking Big Pharma's Drugs by just being thirsty and drinking a glass of water. Gives new meaning to the 17th-century English poet John Donne, who penned the words below:

No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were: any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

Just think, every human body, that is ingesting the Doctor ordered drugs and eliminating some of these substances because the body is incapable of digesting all of the noxious ingredients. Therefore, sharing these prescribed poisons unwittingly, with the rest of us with one trip to the bathroom. YIKES! thinkingblue

AP probe finds drugs in drinking water

A vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.

the concentrations of these pharmaceuticals are tiny,
presence of so many prescription drugs — and over-the-counter medicines like
acetaminophen and ibuprofen — in so much of our drinking water is heightening
worries among scientists of long-term consequences to human health.
AP discovered that drugs have been detected in the drinking water supplies of 24
major metropolitan areas — from Southern California
to Northern New Jersey, from Detroit
to Louisville, Ky.

Sign Petition To Stop Bush From Bullying Congress!

Attn: The House Of Representatives Of The USA:
If ever our Nation needed backbone in our representatives... IT'S NOW! Come on, we voted for you to represent us, do your job and start representing US not the Bush Administration. If you cave to their threats and their appetite for power, you are no better than they. Maybe, I am just a full of clichés, low income, constituent but I think, and I believe, it's about time that you THINK too! Put "Facts Over Fears" and tell Bush, he's wrong to threaten a veto on the FISA debate. He was wrong to eavesdrop without a warrant and involve the large telecommunications companies
to do his dirty work. Tell him this is an act of political blackmail and a gross violation of the balance of powers as stated in the Constitution. Find that
backbone of yours now! thinkingblue

PS: Click the links below and let your voice be heard on the FISA debate.

Finally, the House of Representatives has stood up to President Bush's
fear-mongering.

The Bush administration is trying to bully the House of Representatives on an
important bill that affects your privacy. With cries of "soft on terrorism,"
they insisted that the House pass a bill giving immunity to telecommunications
companies that handed over the phone and email records of innocent Americans
without a warrant.

Now the Bush administration is doing everything they can to force Congress to
cave in to their demands. Tell the House to stand strong against such tactics.

Join me and the ACLU and tell the House to put "Facts Over Fear." Please sign

9 Easy Steps To World Peace

When I see a news item, such as the one below, I think how sad it is that everywhere on our planet someone is contemplating war with people from a neighboring land. Border conflicts here and border conflicts there. It seems as though the human animal can't resolve their problems with those who live next door, without the use of violence. Whether it be the Continent of Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe or Australia, some infringement is being carried out at a border crossing. What
is wrong with our human race? Why can't we just get along with one another? In this time of nuclear threat, we better start learning how or in a flash of a moment all borders will cease and there will be only land masses minus the squabbling inhabitants. Perhaps then, there will be peace upon the earth but you can bet your bottom dollar, we won't be there to witness it or enjoy it. thinkingblue

Chavez warns of war with Colombia

CARACAS, Venezuela
- Venezuela and Ecuador have ordered troops to their borders with Colombia, raising concerns of a broader conflict after Colombia killed a top rebel leader on Ecuadorean soil.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Sunday promised Venezuela would respond militarily if Colombia violates its border, where he ordered tanks as well as thousands of troops. He also ordered closed Venezuela's embassy in Bogota.

Ecuador's president, Rafael Correa, called for the troop deployment while also withdrawing his government's ambassador from Bogota and expelling Colombia's top diplomat.

"There is no justification," Correa said Sunday night, snubbing an earlier announcement from Colombia that it would apologize for the incursion by its military.

Chavez called the killing of rebel leader and spokesman Raul Reyes and 16 other rebels on Saturday an attack by a "terrorist state."

"Mr. Defense Minister, move 10 battalions to the border with Colombia for me, immediately — tank battalions. Deploy the air force," Chavez said during his weekly TV and radio program. "We don't want war, but we aren't going to permit the U.S. empire, which is the master (of Colombia) ... to come divide us."

Correa said Colombia deliberately carried out the strike beyond its borders. He said the rebels were "bombed and massacred as they slept, using precision technology."

The Ecuadorean leader said Colombia violated Ecuador's airspace when it bombed the rebel camp, which the Colombian military said was located 1.1 miles from the border.

Colombian officials have long complained that Ecuador's military does not control its sparsely populated border, allowing rebels to take refuge.

The same holds true for Venezuela, where rebel deserters say the guerrillas routinely rest, train, obtain medical care and smuggle drugs. Chavez denies that his country provides refuge to the FARC.

In a statement, Colombia said FARC "terrorists" including Reyes "have had the custom of killing in Colombia and taking refuge in the territory of neighboring countries."

Colombia's police commander Gen. Oscar Naranjo said documents from a computer seized where Reyes was killed suggested Ecuador's president is deepening relations with the FARC.

The two documents, copies of which were obtained independently by The Associated Press, were apparently written by Reyes in the past two months and addressed to the high command of the FARC. An Ecuadorean government spokesman called the Colombian claims a lie.

Ecuadorean soldiers recovered the semi-nude bodies of 15 rebels in their jungle camp, the corpses scattered around the site along with pieces of clothing, shoes, a refrigerator, guns and grenades.

Soldiers stood guard at the camp, saying they also found three wounded women, who were evacuated by helicopter to be treated. One was a Mexican philosophy student injured by shrapnel, while the other two were Colombians, said Ecuador's defense minister, Welington Sandoval.

Ecuadorean officials found that there were two bomb attacks on the camp early Saturday, Lt. Col. Jose Nunez told reporters in the remote village of Angostura, there the bodies were found.

Colombian commandos removed the cadavers of Reyes and one other rebel.

Chavez called the raid "cowardly murder, all of it coldly calculated."

"This could be the start of a war in South America," Chavez said. He warned Uribe: "If it occurs to you to do this in Venezuela, President Uribe, I'll send some Sukhois" — Russian warplanes recently bought by Venezuela.

The situation tested already tense relations between Venezuela and Colombia, though cross-border trade has not yet been seriously affected.

Chavez did not specify how many troops was sending to the border. A Venezuelan battalion traditionally has roughly 600 soldiers.

"Undoubtedly the recent actions on the part of Colombia and Venezuela's response raise the risk for armed conflict," said Miguel Tinker Salas, a Latin American studies professor at Pomona College in Claremont, California. "Although it is unlikely we will see military confrontations, what is clear is that Colombia has been pursuing a military solution to its own internal problem, ... drawing in Ecuador and Venezuela."

Chavez has increasingly revealed his sympathies for the FARC, and in January asked that it be struck from lists of terrorist groups internationally.

The leftist FARC has been fighting Colombia's government for more than four decades, and funds itself largely through the cocaine trade and kidnaps for ransom and political ends.

Chavez said that with U.S. support, Colombian troops "invaded Ecuador, flagrantly violating Ecuador's sovereignty."

U.S Embassy spokeswoman Suzanne Hall, in Bogota, declined comment on the possibility of U.S. involvement, saying it was a Colombian government operation.

In Texas, U.S. National Security Council spokesman Gordon Johndroe said of Chavez's latest moves: "This is an odd reaction by Venezuela to Colombia's efforts against the FARC, a terrorist organization that continues to hold Colombians, Americans and others hostage."

How exactly Reyes was killed was not immediately clear.

Colombia's defense minister, Juan Manuel Santos, said Colombian commandos, tracking Reyes through an informant, first bombed a camp on the Colombian side of the Ecuadorean border. He said the troops came under fire from across the border in Ecuador and encountered Reyes' body when they overran that camp.

Colombia and Venezuela have been locked in a diplomatic crisis since Uribe sought in November to halt Chavez's efforts to mediate a prisoner swap. The FARC has since freed six hostages to delegates of Chavez, including four released last week.

The FARC has demanded that a safe zone be created in Colombia to negotiate a swap of some 40 high-value captives, including former presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. defense contractors, for hundreds of imprisoned guerrillas.

MEET THE CUTTLEFISH - Science

Click Here or on below picture to watch the video MEET THE CUTTLEFISH.
IF THE ABOVE VIDEO IS NOT WORKING CLICK HERE
If you have never heard of the cuttlefish, you are in for an amazing discovery. This animal has evolved some astonishing survival strategies. If this doesn't convince you of the scientific theory of evolution, NOTHING WILL. Watch, Listen
and Learn. thinkingblue

WOODS HOLE, Mass. — The cuttlefish in Roger Hanlon’s laboratory were in
fine form. Their skin was taking on new colors and patterns faster than the
digital signs in Times Square.

Roger T. Hanlon

Octopus at Grand Cayman, where another octopus performed the Moving Rock Trick.

Dr. Hanlon inspected the squidlike animals as he walked past their shallow tubs, stopping from time to time to ask, “Whoa, did you see that?”

One cuttlefish added a pair of eye spots to its back, a strategy cuttlefish use
to fool predators. The spots lingered a few seconds, then vanished.

When Dr. Hanlon stuck his finger into another tub, three squirrel-size
cuttlefish turned to chocolate, and one streaked its back and arms with wavy
white stripes.

“Look at the pattern on that guy,” he said with a smile as they lunged for his
finger.

In other tubs, the cuttlefish put on subtler but no less sophisticated displays.
Dr. Hanlon’s students had put sand in some tubs, and there the cuttlefish
assumed a smooth beige. On top of gravel, their skins were busy fields of light
and dark.

Dr. Hanlon likes to see how far he can push their powers of camouflage. He
sometimes put black and white checkerboards in the tubs. The cuttlefish respond
by forming astonishingly sharp-edged blocks of white.

“We can give them any hideous background,” he said, “and they will try to camouflage.”

Cuttlefish and their relatives octopus and squid are the world’s camouflage
champions. But Dr. Hanlon and his colleagues have just a rough understanding of
how these animals, collectively known as cephalopods, disguise themselves so well.

Dr. Hanlon, a senior scientist at the Marine Biological Laboratory here, has
spent much of the last three decades studying them in his laboratory and on
thousands of ocean dives. He said he believed that he finally had a theory for
how they achieve their magic.

In fact, he said it could account for all the camouflage patterns made by
animals like katydids and pandas. For all the variety in the world of
camouflage, there may be a limited number of ways to fool the eye.

Dr. Hanlon’s scientific career was a foregone conclusion. At age 18, he took his
first dive in Panama and spotted an octopus hiding on a coral reef. After
serving as an Army lieutenant for two years, he entered graduate school at the
University of Miami, where he began to study cephalopod camouflage.

He has spent much of his career underwater, swimming around coastal reefs and
rocky coastal waters from the Caribbean to South Africa to Australia.

Typically, Dr. Hanlon and his colleagues follow a single cephalopod, filming for
hours as it shifts its skin. On some dives, Dr. Hanlon uses a spectrometer to
obtain precise measurements of the light in the water and the reflections from
the animal. The tedium is interrupted now and then by acts of spectacular
deception. Cephalopods do not just mimic the colors of the sea floor or coral
reefs. Sometimes, they make their arms flat and crinkled and wave them like
seaweed.

Dr. Hanlon has watched octopuses perform what he calls the Moving Rock Trick.
They assume the shape of a rock and move in plain sight across the sea floor.
But they move no faster than the ripples of light around them, so they never
seem to move.

Dr. Hanlon’s jaw-dropping footage has appeared on a number of documentaries. One
pirated segment has wound up on YouTube, where it has been viewed hundreds of
thousands of times.

Dr. Hanlon approaches normal-looking coral at Grand Cayman Island. When he is a
few inches away, half the coral suddenly becomes smooth and white. An eye pops
open, and an octopus that has been clinging to the coral shoots away.

Despite thousands of dives, Dr. Hanlon still considers himself a novice in
spotting cephalopods. Once, after following an octopus for an hour and a half,
he looked away a moment to switch cameras. When he looked back, the animal was gone.

He and his colleagues swam for 20 minutes before realizing it was right in front
of them, exactly where they had seen it before. “I was really angry,” Dr. Hanlon
said. “They still fool me, even though I think I know what I’m looking at.”

In recent years, Dr. Hanlon has been spending much of his time diving along
southern Australia, where a colleague discovered the only major spawning grounds
for cuttlefish ever found. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Australian giant
cuttlefish gather there to mate and lay eggs. “I’d been searching for a place
like that for 25 years,” he said. “The first time I stuck my head in the water,
I said, ‘I’ve died and gone to cuttlefish heaven.’ ”

Pay Paul-The-Credit-Card-Extortionist

My two cents worth:

Over the years I have paid out tens of thousands of hard earned cash in interest fees. Credit cards have been my nemeses throughout life while raising 3 children. Now my grown kids are hitting the same struggle.

Sometimes, when incomes are not enough to live on, most turn to credit because it's constantly thrown in their face.

If the credit card companies were regulated and fair, this could help low income families, now and then, but instead these companies are allowed to bleed them dry.

There was a time before the Republican stranglehold on our country when you could deduct these fees from your income on yearly tax statements. But the Republican Congress arranged to have that slight financial aid taken away.

My daughter struggled to go to college to become a teacher. She needed to intern for 3 months without pay and during that time she ran up several credit cards plus a personal loan to take the place of her salary. She is raising 2 children and had little choice to do anything else.

She made a payment to a credit card a day before the next 30 day cycle began and the card company did not count that as a payment made in the new cycle. The interest fees shot up to 28% because of this so called error. How can that be legal, yet it is. Now when she makes a payment, most of it goes to interest.

Those of us, at the bottom rungs of the income ladder need protecting from these vultures but do we get any? Not on your life! There is just too much money to be made off the backs of the low to middle income worker and that is thoroughly loathsome and WRONG!

Just an added note, I came to my daughter's aid on this bloodsucking credit card of hers and paid it off with one of my cards that gave a promotional
period of 10 months with no finance fees. It's just another robbing of Peter to Pay Paul-The-Credit-Card-Extortionist.

Kiss credit card rip-offs goodbye!

Bank of America is hiking rates for some good customers--to as high as 28%! Because they can.

We just hand-delivered 120,000 Valentines Day cards to Congress from people like you--telling them to help us "kiss credit card rip-offs goodbye"! Now we need to follow that up with strong support for legislation just filed by two powerful lawmakers.

We have huge momentum, but this bill needs cosponsors. Let's get another 100,000 messages to lawmakers in the next two weeks and gather the cosponsors we need to move the bill to the House floor.

Just send the message below or edit it (click in the box and type your own words) to tell your lawmaker what you want in your own words. Click the link, and our system will automatically address the letter correctly by adding your information and send it on to your lawmaker.
