Dear NRA Defenders

I came across another NRA defender while surfing facebook this morning; while his retort was no better than any other NRA defender, using the same ole, script that 'guns don’t kill et cetera, et cetera'. I thought that it being a response to the horrendous mass murder in Santa Barbara California last Friday (they sure come out of the woodwork after such unspeakable tragedies to oppose rationale) which caused a bereaving father to try not allow his son’s death go down in vain, like all the children murdered in the Sandy Hook massacre, by a madman with guns appeared to have, made it more distressing than the usual (gun enthusiast’s) banal jargon.thinkingblue

Move Over Pat Robertson, Your Hateful Rival Is Here

Move over Pat Robertson, Ann Hornaday is muscling in on your hateful and gruesome territory of blaming disastrous events on human behavior or comedic spoofs  (or, according to P.R., that which a god deems inappropriate). MY GOD, these people come out of the woodwork and hack up loogies to spit out  through the medium of words, that make a tragic, catastrophic human episode which is gut wrenching to begin with, even more sorrowful. Why, one might ask; I know the answer in Pat Robertson's case, he's just after money from his low income, low information following but what does Ann Hornaday have to gain with her nauseating, pathetic opinion about a topic she knows absolutely nothing about, MENTAL ILLNESS? Please tell me if you know. thinkingblue

GOP Believe the Black Voter To Be As Ignorant As Their Base.

HEY, GOP, YA HAD BETTA THINK AGAIN!
The other day, I came across a short but mendacious article, on how the Democrats are using the poor misguided Black Voter and how little, progressives think of this voting bloc, filling them with lies and misinformation while at the same time taking advantage of their gullibility. SAY WHAT? What they are doing is so absurd, it should be LOL but they are so devious and underhanded that to laugh, just takes one’s eye off the ball, allowing them to use their famous or infamous BAIT AND SWITCH tactics. Good explanation of this below:
Let me finish tonight with this. Think about this bait and switch number. Keep it in mind – how it’s done…
First they find something you really don’t like, a matter that really burns you up. Then, when you are white hot with anger, they present something “different” for you to hate or fear or whatever they’re trying to get you to do. So…they find veterans of the Vietnam war who don’t like what John Kerry said in opposing the war after he got home. Then, they take these angry men and say they’re angry not at what Kerry said in opposing the war but what he did during the war. Nobody notices the trick that’s been pulled. The swiftboating is completed. We all get angry with the people who planned 9/11. While the anger is still hot, they say we need to attack…a country that had nothing to do with 9/11. Bait … and switch! So easy, like taking candy from a baby.
That is how “human beings” (and I do use that term loosely)  like, Karl Rove and Reince Priebus win, if you believe nothing is sacred and all’s fair when it comes to attaining the Brass Ring, then you will stoop to any low even to literally, TAKE CANDY FROM A BABY. Lowlife is way too nice a term for them, a more accurate phrase would be ‘adherents to that which is of the foulest essence’!

GOP On The Run, Courting Blacks Using The Same BS They Throw At Low Information Whites

Wow, I always knew the Conservative Mind thought intelligence was based on how light your skin was but I had no idea, they believed African Americans to be so stupid…
they send faxes with stamps on them.
they study for a blood test...
OK enough with the jokes, you get the idea of how these hypocrites on the right (no matter their skin color) think when it comes to the average American intelligence, believing that most are so stupid they can be lied to, misled and bamboozled in to pulling Republican levers come election time, it’s just a piece of cake...
Warning: Please don’t read the below piece unless you have a puke-bucket nearby. I’m not kidding there’s enough BS within the empty words of this article, it could fertilize a million acre farm and that’s a whopping understatement. (so clever and cute, am I?)thinkingblue

PS: Here's a short review on how a Kevin Fischer mind operates... From this blog:http://whallah.blogspot.com/2008/06/kevin-fischer-wants-to-debate-issues.html
Kevin Fischer Wants to Debate the Issues....
Seriously, he does!
He also laments at the amount of hatred that's out there, and he comments on how "vicious and cruel" people can be:
"I don’t believe people truly grasp the amount of hatred that’s out there. People are downright vicious and cruel, as I have received numerous hateful, harassing correspondences, even personal threats that have had to be investigated by authorities." ~Kevin Fischer~
I wonder where Kevin hides during the "vicious and cruel" Limbaugh rants and where was he during the blatant character assassination attempts by the GOP, every time there's an election? I have a strong feeling Kevin Fischer wears Rose Colored Glasses and will never be able to escape the bondage of the bubbled wrapped world of BS, he and his fellow GOPers are enslaved in. The poor dears.

The White Conservatives who think they can convince African Americans to vote Republican by showing them how they are used and victimized by Democrats should read some of the nasties other GOP Dweebs say about black Americans. Here's a good start:

Republican extremists, in their own words
Rep. Jon Hubbard of Jonesboro, famously unhinged, who's put some of his choicest thoughts on paper in a book available on Amazon, “Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Frustrated Conservative.” I'd heard a lot about this book and was talking to Lindsey Millar this morning about ordering a copy. But Michael Cook at Talk Business has already written about some choice excerpts. I confess that publicizing thoughts such as these might only serve to encourage the Republican voter base. But the truth will set someone free. Excerpts selected by Cook and others:

Slavery was good for black people:
“… the institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise. The blacks who could endure those conditions and circumstances would someday be rewarded with citizenship in the greatest nation ever established upon the face of the Earth.” (Pages 183-89)If you think slavery was bad, you should have seen Africa:
African Americans must “understand that even while in the throes of slavery, their lives as Americans are likely much better than they ever would have enjoyed living in sub-Saharan Africa.”“Knowing what we know today about life on the African continent, would an existence spent in slavery have been any crueler than a life spent in sub-Saharan Africa?” (Pages 93 and 189)
Black people are ignorant:
“Wouldn’t life for blacks in America today be more enjoyable and successful if they would only learn to appreciate the value of a good education?” (Page 184)Integration was bad for white people
“… one of the stated purposes of school integration was to bring black students up to a level close to that of white students. But, to the great disappointment of everyone, the results of this theory worked exactly in reverse of its intended purpose, and instead of black students rising to the educational levels previously attained by white students, the white students dropped to the level of black students. To make matters worse the lack of discipline and ambition of black students soon became shared by their white classmates, and our educational system has been in a steady decline ever since.” (Page 27)It's basically hopeless.
“… will it ever become possible for black people in the United States of America to firmly establish themselves as inclusive and contributing members of society within this country?” (Page 187)Immigration is bad.
..the immigration issue, both legal and illegal... will lead to planned wars or extermination. Although now this seems to be barbaric and uncivilized, it will at some point become as necessary as eating and breathing." (Page 9)Don't forget Nazi Germany.
"American Christians are assuming a similar stance as did the citizens of Germany during Hitler's rise to power." (Page 158)Any wonder why the Arkansas Republican Party endorses mass mailings that emphasize the evil being done to America by black men, particularly the one in the White House or one dressed up like a doctor? FYI: Hubbard has a great Democratic opponent, church stalwart businessman Harold Copenhaver of Jonesboro.MORE HERE: Republican extremists, in their own words

Where Did All the GOP Empty-Heads Go?

Where Did All the GOP Empty-Heads Go?
The below article, is right on point. On Point, for those who possess the critical thinking mind they were born with before the grownups weaned it from them; so that they will go forth and follow the Empty-Head Crowd.
Well the low-information ones that the Republicans had always relied on to get them to the top of the political power mountain are finally dwindling in number. At least, upon reading this forthright article, which hints that, their same ole, same ole, tactic is not working anymore. Hey, maybe those who rather hear lies and misinformation because it grants them the luxury to lay their Empty-Heads back and not have to painstakingly THINK about anything, are getting tired of hearing the echoes that bounce off the walls of hollowness that vacuousness produces.

Will The Masses' Freedom To Think, Go the Way of the Dodo?

The below image is from a blog dedicated to satire and since there is Unfathomable Truth in the use of satire,( as you will acknowledge, upon reading this piece) I did not hesitate to blog and share it. thinkingblue
Satire / noun : a way of using humor to show that someone or something is foolish, weak, bad, etc. : humor that shows the weaknesses or bad qualities of a person, government, society, etc.
PS: A Daily Kos comment, so eloquent, so forthright, I print-keyed it so I could easily share it and so that I will never lose it.
Man is a Religious Animal. He is the only Religious Animal. He is the only animal that has the True Religion--several of them. He is the only animal that loves his neighbor as himself and cuts his throat if his theology isn't straight. He has made a graveyard of the globe in trying his honest best to smooth his brother's path to happiness and heaven....The higher animals have no religion. And we are told that they are going to be left out in the Hereafter. I wonder why? It seems questionable taste.
MARK TWAIN - "The Lowest Animal"

In religion and politics people's beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass farthing.

PseudoScience the Answer to a Creationist Prayer

OR
The Art of Pulling Things Out of a Hat.
Pseudoscience is a claim, belief or practice which is presented as scientific, but does not adhere to a valid scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudoscience
I started reading this article "DNA: The Tiny Code That's Toppling Evolution"thinking it was science based. Lo and Behold, after a few paragraphs, I was hit with the same ole, same ole conjecture to prove Darwin's Theory of Evolution wrong. The comments exposed the sheer ignorance of those who identify themselves as Creationists, except for one lonely (thinking) soul who felt the need to include a common sense opinion... I am so thankful there are people (like Bill Dixon) willing (without animosity) to express scientific ideas of fact and reality. Once again, pity to those who cannot think outside their indoctrinations.

Three Bushes, You're Out!

The image below was posted on facebook, from a Fox & Friend's FB photo. Another Bush Whitehouse? As the saying goes 2's companies 3's a crowd. Not the kind of Birds of a Feather Flock, we need for our country.
The policies (or lack thereof) of the GOP and TP House of Ill Repute, always hurt the poor the most... Pretending to balance budgets by taking from those who will suffer is inhumane but it doesn't stop these barbarians in suits and ties, they keep on keeping on, dismantling and destroying safety nets, so they can give more (via enormous tax breaks) to the wealthy capitalists, in the guise that it’s all in how you trickledown. If we could only figure out how to get the working poor, out to vote in November, we would not have to cringe and say WTF every time a GOP or TP politician speaks their dog-whistle tongue… I wish I could yell it from the rooftops to those who  feel so disenfranchised that casting a vote will mean or do nothing for them, RECONSIDER, it’s just the opposite, that’s why Republican legislators pass laws to make it harder (or impossible) for those in need, to vote! thinkingblue

I guess lil' ole' Brother Bush feels he has a chance of becoming the GOP nominee, with opponents like Rand Paul or Ted Cruz.

The Supreme Christian Court of the United States

I guess those who would like to abolish the separation of Church and State are jumping for joy with this latest SCOTUS ruling. However, be assured, their ecstasy will be short-lived if the Conservative Christian Court that now operates without shame were ever to do away with this separation for good. Most likely the next ruling will be the appointment of some priest, minister, rabbi or whatever religious clergy that We-The-People, are to be ruled by...(without a doubt, it will be Christian)  Theocracy and all its Biblical Stoning, is on is on its way! thinkingblue
Below is a brief summation of the Church of England under King Henry VIII.
EXCERPT: The churches
During the 1530s King Henry VIII broke with the Catholic Church in Rome and by the Act of Supremacy was made supreme head on earth of a new Church of England. Puritans believed that the reform of the church had not gone far enough whilst the Reformation in continental Europe spawned a number of radical groups, such as the Anabaptists (or Baptists) that later became the nonconformists of the 17th century. Many of these, plus Catholic recusants (who refused to attend obligatory Church of England services), suffered persecution for their faith. For example, Quakers were imprisoned in gaol (JAIL) in 1664 for not taking the Oath of Allegiance to the king since they believed that to take any oath was against the word of God.

New Ideas To Get Money Out of Politics

New Ideas To Get Money Out of Politics
and
Congratulations To April's Super Stamper

28th amendment
Why do we need a 28th Amendment National Roadshow?
Ever since the disastrous Citizens United people have been up in arms about the undue influence of big money in politics.  But most Americans feel overwhelmed and believe that a Constitutional Amendment is too big a task and that it is just not possible in our current stalemate political climate.  The media makes viewers feel disempowered and has failed to highlight the victories that groups are making to GET THE MONEY OUT.

Death Penalty IMHO!

Needless to say, I’m against Capital Punishment. The deliberate killing of a healthy human being by the State is simply, IMHO (in my honest opinion) legal murder. If it made the citizenry safer that would be a reason to question it necessary or not but it DOES NOT and may even have an opposite affect by displaying outright, “it’s OK to murder kiddies but only in this case”. There are many reasons to find lawful extermination of humans appalling but the main reason (for me anyway) is, what if the condemned was innocent, you just can’t undo that type of punitive action, now can you (unless you happen to be a man named Jesus). I’ve even heard that many states (if not all who think Capital Punishment is A-OK) will not allow anyone to research whether an already executed person was falsely accused and was innocent of the crime he/she had been found guilty by a jury of their (fallible) peers. I include fallible because, good grief, look around at the many ‘Low Information’ types who live amongst us who, with a drop of a hat, will believe all kinds of nutty and RIDICULOUS conspiracy theories. Furthermore, let’s sprinkle a little religion here, since those who rejoice the Death Penalty will quote biblical passages to convince them and us, that we must kill those we judge evil because the bible tells us so.
Exodus 21:12 - “Whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.” Does that sound a bit oxymoronish? YA BETCHA! thinkingblue
Quote of the Day:
“Laws are spider webs through which the big flies pass and the little ones get caught.”
Honoré de Balzac
I'm not religious but Sister Helen Prejean is a wonderful (objective thinking) human being.
