I found this on facebook this morning and
thought it interesting enough to share on some of my blogs for
those who also have learned the art of Critical thinking.

"The Earth is not 6,000 or 10,000 years old," Bill Nye said in an interview with The Associated Press. "It's not. And if that conflicts with your beliefs, I strongly feel you should question your beliefs."
Millions of Americans do hold those beliefs, according to a June Gallup poll that found 46 percent of Americans believe God created humans in their present form about 10,000 years ago.

46% - This type of ignorance is not only disgusting it’s frightening; To think of the enormous potential of the human brain and how so many choose to squander the inherent possibilities of it, on frivolous and primitive thinking is beyond my grasp on reality. But these science deniers have also had their brains taken over by fear, (supernatural dogma and fear go hand and hand) and FEAR is something that is almost impossible to overcome. "Creationism is not the alternative to Evolution, ignorance is"And so it goes, on and on with indoctrination closing the minds of 46% of us Americans who have developed fear to such a degree that not one ray of light will ever penetrate their world of darkness. The saddest thing of all is the fact that these people think they derive happiness from such delusions. Just like children seem to be happy with thoughts of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. :(

Below is a growing collection of responses to this web site in the form of emails and posts to my Message Board and Guest Book . They are presented with spelling and grammatical errors intact.
I have not posted these comments simply to denigrate those with opposing views. However, the poor spelling and grammar in many of the messages seems indicative of grass roots fundamentalists (creationists) and reinforces the fears of scientific educators that to allow creationism in our schools is to endanger the future education of our children.

Why haven't you offered up some real proof for Evilution and collected the $250.000 cash from Mr Hovind. it should be easy money for you, since you are so smart!! what did the giraffes evolve from?? they must have evolved from something right??
