So many blocks away, a hellish pocket of poverty, brutality and rage smolders but do the privileged government officials care?  HELL NO! Thank goodness, for the Bill Moyers of this world. They bring to light that which the elected few would like to hide. Just like what  hurricane Katrina did for the FORGOTTEN in New Orleans so Bill Moyers does for the DC FORGOTTEN. Earth Conservation Corps

The Earth Conservation Corps (ECC), a group of young adults from urban DC, works
to reclaim a dying neighborhood by providing leadership tools to disadvantaged
youth while cleaning up the environment.
