THE CASE OF VALERIE PLAME

While the breaking of Valerie Plame's cover as a NOC operative of the CIA may be regarded as serious in and of itself, there has been some speculation that the damage caused by the leak may extend in very specific directions related to Plame's work with her cover company, Brewster Jennings & Associates. While the majority of commentators felt that her husband was the target for the smear, a body of evidence points to another motive for the leak. The leak may have been instigated as a move to end Plame's work spying on the Saudi royal family, and more specifically her investigation into whether the Saudi oilfields had passed their peak of productivity (see peak oil). In this view (found for example in Michael Ruppert's From The Wilderness news service, [65]) the leak was an attempt to silence and/or discredit Plame's findings on the state of the world's oil supply, thereby impairing the functioning of the CIA's ability to inform the administration, in turn reducing its ability to act usefully.

I recently received a reply on my blog THE PATH TO 911 assault, by ABC - a review that was so well thought out, I want to record it in today's posting. Please read one blogger's reply giving substance to another view of WHO MAY BE TO BLAME FOR 9/11 and my response. Thank you, thinkingblue

As the neocons deflect their current failures off on the Clinton administration, conjuring up Monica in ABC/Disney's recent revisionist propaganda piece, "Path to 9-11", they seem to be suggesting that the Monica scandal was directly influencing Clinton's ability to perform his work as President.

Then who do they have to blame but themselves for 9-11? Wasn't it the neocon Republicans who created the Monica debacle in the first place? And, if it is true that the neocon Republicans in Congress were the ones who trumped-up the Clinton impeachment charges, then aren't they responsible for distracting a sitting president from his duties? And, therefore responsible, in part for what happened on 9-11?

Isn't there a law that says you can not conspire against a sitting President or VP? Didn't Cheney get off the energy task force testimony hook based on that argument? So, simple logic dictates those who were responsible for fomenting the Monica scandal are also, by association, guilty of enabling Bin Laden, because they distracted Clinton from his work.

Safe to say, those who worked so very hard to impeach Clinton via the Monica scandal need to step up and admit their complicity in 9-11, because the public-circus, media feeding frenzy distraction they caused certainly gave Bin Laden a lot of cover for his evil plans and programs. -- jeb

Dear jeb, Really well said, but fat chance. These people inside the neo-conservative cabal are at best masterminds of deceit and at worst treacherous assassins of our civil rights. They have only one motive and that is to win at
any cost. In other words, it doesn’t matter who they hurt as long as they maintain their power.

They couldn’t get anything truly negative on Clinton so they pounced on a sex scandal... They made it seem that debauchery was more important, more affecting the course of events than all the accomplishments of the Clinton era. How low can you go?. With this gang there is no bottom. So fess-up, is not in their vocabulary. I know this is hard to believe but I also think, WE AIN'T SEEN NUTTIN YET. Wait until their comfortable margin fades and it looks as though they may be tossed out on their keisters, forced to knock on doors, pound pavements, in search of another job.

SAINTS ALIVE, A FATE WORSE THAN DEATH FOR THE BUSH NEO-CON BUNCH!!! I wish I could go behind the closed doors of these associates in crime and take a peak up their sleeves to learn what they are planning next to avoid such a fate... YIKES, MAYBE NOT!

They were absolutely in part (if not entirely) to blame for 9/11 but admit it? NEVER! Karl Rove’s favorite tactic is to make your weakness your strength and
use it against your enemies. As he is trying to do with the Iraq so called war (U.S. occupation is a better word than war). He also uses fear and it has been a pretty good tool for him. Especially against those who are so ill-informed and can succumb so readily to panic.

We live in dangerous times but for the time being, we can speak out against
tyranny. The likes of Rove and his co-conspirators would like to change this and fast. Their aim is to quell any dissent and the clock is running out for them. If they lose the house or senate or both in the upcoming election their efforts will have been in vain. This is something that is totally unacceptable in the psyche of those who's aspirations are for ABSOLUTE POWER. So once again I reiterate "WE AIN'T SEEN NUTTIN YET!
