VERACITY IN THE AIR
CLICK TO GO TO PAGE "VERACITY IN THE AIR"
There has recently been the scent of veracity in the air, and it smells so good! Since 2000 and even before that, most of us progressives had known what type of person, one, GEORGE W. BUSH was. We knew he was a bumbling, simple man with little character, but anytime we would mention this, we were shouted down by the right, telling us how stupid we were and how, we possessed little insight... "GEORGE W. BUSH was a brilliant man and would go down in history as one of the BEST PRESIDENTS WE EVER HAD" this, they would reiterate as they held their hands to their naive ears, so not to hear any derogatory remarks about THEIR (as in, not our) LEADER. Now it seems we were RIGHT all along and not only did we possess INSIGHT...
We were unequivocally clairvoyant (not really, we just sort of used, plain old common sense).
Below, Katrina vanden Heuvel gathered the bits and pieces of the Bush and the Far Right's deceptions in a book and I for one, want to get my hands on this book.
A publication that should go down in history as one of the TRUTH TELLING STORIES OF ALL TIMES. Thank goodness, for the BRAVE TRUTH TELLERS. ThinkingBlue
PS: The picture below is how the Bush Words look in my FRONTPAGE 2000 spell checker... notice the red lines highlighting Bush's malapropisms. I wonder if his speech writers smack themselves in the head every time Bush, ludicrously misuses a word they have written down... if so they must be, A BIT NUTTY FROM HEAD TRAUMA BY NOW.
malapropism n. 1. Ludicrous misuse of a word, especially by confusion with one of similar sound.
