Today's article on thinkingblue is a ... lollapalooza! I wish I could say that I do not believe a word of it but, in fact, I have been thinking about this (WWIII) subject becoming an inevitability since the neocon crazies wound up at the top of the pyramid.

First came 911 which still has not been thoroughly investigated. Then came the WARS that were waged due to 911. (the neocons finally had their new PEARL HARBOR) To convince the American people to spend extra billions for defense instead of on Social Security, Medicare, etc., PNAC suggested it would take a "catastrophic and catalyzing event - like a new Pearl Harbor." (PNAC's exact words.)

I searched the web for a "Neocon’s Guide For Global Domination" so we can all finally become adults and realize what exactly "we" (and I mean all of us homo sapiens) are UP AGAINST! (the following is "tongue-in-cheek" but it is not far-fetched)

"Neocon’s Guide For Global Domination"

1. We, the Mighty Neocons, are the chosen people and rulers of the earth. All others shall be known as Lesser Mortals.

2. Thou shall covet the natural resources of all other countries. Be it rich oil fields or a tray of Grade AAA, extra large eggs.

3. Thou shall destroy anything or anyone that keeps you from achieving
Tenet no. 2, (and we are not talking about George).

4. For countries not rich in natural reserves, covet them anyway, who knows thouest might want to build a military base there one day.

5. Thou shall and must control all media outlets, unless owned by Rupert Murdoch. He’s a supreme Neocon, and expert in sponsoring our propaganda.

6. Thou shall always support totalitarian regimes as part of thy system, as long as they support thy goals. Once thy goals have been achieved, expel them from thy system immediately like a bad case of diarrhea.

7. Thou shall apply the same rule (as Tenet no. 6) for exploiting terrorists.

8. Thou shall routinely use fake terrorist threats to covet riches, destroy thine enemy, and more specifically, scare the living s**t out of the Lesser Mortals.

9. Thou shall always pretend to be tolerant of other religions, while demeaning Islam and its followers, by various covert means.

10. Thou shall build a new stockpile of WMDs for thyself every
fortnight, while hunting for nonexistent WMDs in other countries.

11. Thou shall never talk about the Fight Club. (We don’t want the Lesser Mortals to know about that film, or they might get ideas, if thou knowest what we mean).

12. Thou shall lie through your teeth, (or even dentures), whenever an opportunity arises.

13. Thou shall deny everything, if ever prosecuted with a truckload of existing evidence against your wrongdoings.

14. That reminds us, thou shall destroy all existing evidence against thyself forthwith.

Here endth thy lesson. Be well and Godspeed

Please read the following article if you wish to have a horrifying glimpse into the future that the scandalous plutocrats {NEOCONSERVATIVES} have in store for the world. But as the writer predicts, they will not succeed if we all try to UNDERSTAND just what they are doing and planning. WE CAN STOP THEM AND WE MUST! thinkingblue

"Little Boy" was the code name of the atomic bomb which was dropped on
Hiroshima, Japan on August 6, 1945

JEAN PAUL SARTRE: "NO EXIT"
JEAN Paul Sartre's No Exit was first performed at the Vieux-Colombier in May 1944, just before the liberation of Paris. Three characters, a man and two women, find themselves in hell, which for them is a living-room with Second Empire furniture. Each of the characters needs the other two in order to create some illusion about himself. Since existence, for Sartre, is the will to project oneself into the future--to create one's future--the opposite of existence, where man has no power to create his future, his hell. This is the meaning of the Sartrean hell in the morality play No Exit. Garcin's sin had been cowardice, and in hell he tries to use the two women, who are locked up forever with him in the same room, under the same strong light, as mirrors in which he will see a complacent and reassuring picture of himself.

THE ONLY HOPE continued: But given the Middle East’s movement toward
democracy, a deliberate denunciation of secular rule, a certain decision to root itself in the faith of its own people, the Islamic world has made it clear that it will no longer cow tow to George Bush. Similarly, the Western world seems to be moving back to its own roots. As can be seen in recent elections (Germany, Canada, and, of course, the United States), much of the western hemisphere (although not Venezuela or Cuba) seems to be increasingly aligning itself with the values of a post modern world, those that extol the virtues of capitalism, civil religion, sensuality, conspicuous consumption, and military dominance. No doubt a true clash of cultures, a war of wills, a cockfight with but one thing in mind; the absolute destruction of all who stand in the way!

With such contention, I see only one way out; a metamorphic leap of faith, an about face in the way we think, a decision to let go of everything that we, as a nation, once held dear, an understanding that the world will surely end unless we recognize the fact that we have no choice but to embrace our enemy as our brother, the one, without whom, we will never find peace, a brother-in-arms, enchained from head to toe, with whom we will either drown, or, together, might be allowed to live for yet another day.

The world has been taught that survival is king; that a people must do what they believe to be in their own best interests, what they believe is necessary in order to survive, with little, or no, regard for its effect upon others (as in the collateral damage, the death, of as many as 100,000 Iraqi citizens during the most recent war in Iraq). However, such an approach can no longer be considered an acceptable way of life in a world in which the life of one is so inseparably tied to that of another, a world in which the annihilation of one may well lead to the death of the other. Thus the need for a metamorphic leap of faith, a divinity founded upon that which we all have in common, our humanity, a presumption that each and everyone of us, as human beings, are sacred, a recognition that
killing others, even those of the enemy, represents a failure of the human spirit, a miscalculation, a profound misunderstanding of why we have been “placed upon” the earth, an inability to understand that for the world to survive we must consider what is best for the entire human family, otherwise we will all perish.

When you get down to it, nations are not that much different from individuals. We all seemingly want what we want and to hell with everyone else. But the time for change has come. It has been said that we, as modern folks (as opposed to so-called primitives, aboriginals who have no need for nuclear bombs nor delight in the destruction of their environment), are civilized. That due to our advancement, the fact of how we have seemingly progressed, how we have become such an educated lot, we have become known as those of the so-called civilized world. However, if civilization means anything at all, it means to be civil, to be courteous, to be thoughtful and kind. It implies a willful concern for the needs of others. Essentially, the capacity to extend our will so that it might include that of others, a propitious incorporation of their need into that of our own, a conscious decision to ensure that the survival of one becomes the survival of the other, a transformation in the way we think, a sincere desire for peace, a state of harmony in which each works for the betterment of others.

Perhaps Jesus, as well as Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha), said it best when each proclaimed that we “should not do unto others that which we would not have them do unto us.” Put another way, if we want to learn how to get along with others, it is absolutely essential that we be willing to place ourselves into that of our brother’s shoes. That we ask ourselves how we might feel if our adversary were about to do to us that which we have been planning to do to him. And, of course, if having come to the conclusion that such a thing would be inappropriate, then, as a moral fellow (a moral nation that is), it would behoove us to act appropriately in regards to our brother (that of the other nation).

Alas, such is not the way of the world. Rather, it seems that according to our country’s foreign policy- the way we have, in fact, chosen to deal with other nations of the world- we have been inclined to put ourselves first, to look at things from our own rather petty, no doubt provincial, and nearly always biased, point of view. Without exception, we have demonized our enemies, in the past Germany and Japan, most recently in Iraq, and now, of course, in regards to Iran, Syria, North Korea, and Venezuela, choosing to focus on their shortcomings, all in order to make it easier to kill them… if that is what our government decides to do.

Conversely, there has been a perennial attempt to escape the fact of our own transgressions, a history of entangled complicity in that of other countries (60 years of Machiavellian manipulation in the Middle East), the overthrow of constitutional democracies, and egregious alignments with foreign dictators. Not to mention the rather arrogant presumption, on the part of so many in our nation, that the United States, having received the a priori blessing of God, has been assigned the divine responsibility of dictating to the rest of the world how it should be governed.

Clearly, such a world view is a recipe for disaster, a way of behaving that will lead to all that we most fear, our worst nightmare come true, an Armageddon of fire and doom, Dante’s inferno having come to life... the natural end of a world having gone mad with power, greed, and ambition.

So, the next time you have a chance, listen to George Bush. Listen to Dick Cheney. Listen to Donald Rumsfeld. Listen to what they have to say, and how they say it. Look at how they position their bodies... so straight and tall. Pugnacious profiles. Self-righteous men, hardened to the core, and, no doubt, pious to a tee. Take a look at their faces; the smugness of their smile. And then…… never forget that power corrupts, and that absolute power corrupts absolutely, and that pride, without fail, always cometh before the fall!

The Real State Of The Union How to address a bitter, war-torn but still somehow giddy and deeply horny nation - By Mark Morford, SF Gate Columnist

Wednesday, February 1, 2006

My fellow Americans, we're not as royally screwed as everything Bush has done during his miserable term in office would have you believe.

Yes, we are on the brink of epic destruction involving war and sweaty religious nut-balls and a mad grab for the planet's few remaining gurgles of oil and the general appalling lousiness of the new TV season. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. Destruction can be healthy. A positive force. Destruction sweeps the place bare, scrubs out the spiritual colon, cleanses the palate for what's next. And besides, have you seen "Grey's Anatomy"? Totally cute.

But here's the best part: No one really knows what's next. Oh sure, we have prognosticators and pundits and professional fear-mongers from the GOP and the religious right who want to tell you that the apocalypse is nigh and God hates everything you do and if the terrorists don't get your fresh innocent white babies, the gays or the pot smokers or the rappers will.

But the truth is, we really haven't the slightest clue what's going on. Hell, 20 years ago, who could have predicted the insane rise of the Internet? The success of the Toyota Prius? Five-hundred-dollar Gucci iPod cases? Polyphonic ring tones? Dark matter? The baffling success of Ashlee Simpson? Puggles? This much we know: We don't know squat. Except, of course, that there is one hell of a lot more to know.

Yes, the Bush administration has done more to harm the economy and decimate the national spirit and rape the notion of patriotism than any administration in 100 years. It might very well be true -- hell, we all know it's true -- but is that all there is?

Juicy progress has occurred, despite Dubya and his ilk. Hell, in 1942 you couldn't buy a vibrator to save your life, much less your marriage. People were playing scratchy 78s on their steam-powered turntables and danced in heavy girdles made of bailing wire and lost hopes. Merely uttering the words "double soy mocha latte" in some states would get you shot for being some sort of Communist. Life was brutal. Thongs had yet to be invented. Radiohead didn't exist. Telephones were made of wood and string and lots of yelling. People ate meat from a can. Power steering was science fiction.

This much we know: Progress is measured in fits and hurls and recoils and lurches. We are certainly not where we were, but in some ways, we are stuck there like a pig in quicksand. It's a conundrum. Make that a paradox. A cosmic knock-knock joke. It is merely the way.

Here is some interesting news: Only about 74 percent of Americans call themselves Christian nowadays, down from 86 percent about 15 years ago. What's more, it seems the numbers are dropping steadily, a little less than 1 percent a year. Which means, in about 30 years from now, Christians could be a minority in the United State. What are we to make of this? Here's the most fascinating aspect: God is smiling about it.

Although there's a desperate need to cling on to the old, unenlightened ways, a deep trembling fear of change and progress, a need by the PTB to force everyone into little manageable boxes of identity and function, all while absolutely refusing to allow intellect and gender and belief to be as fluid and fascinating as they so desperately want to be, the good news is, the cat is out of the bag and she's sprinting for the border, singing Led Zep's "Black Dog" and laughing maniacally.

Art will not die. Gay rights marches awkwardly on. Wicca is the fastest-growing religion in America. Sex keeps us more giddy than ever. New galaxies get discovered. Women laugh. Communication evolves. Vibrator quality improves. Wars end. All this pseudo-Christian panic is merely the last spasm of a dying dogma. Which is to say, conservatives may wail and religions may pule, but love winks and shrugs and evolves anyway, despite them both.

You see, magic abounds. Change can blink clumsily to life even in the dankest of corners. Take health care. You will hear much about health care this year. Health care is a nasty, bloated mess, a massive crisis, bigger than any other fiscal issue facing the nation, could very well bankrupt the U.S. government. One reason costs are so high and HMOs are so abusive is because the health industry has powerful lobbyists and the industry CEOs are cronies of the president. What are we to do about this?

Maybe not as much as you might think. Because now a funny thing is happening: Ironically, the powerful crony CEOs of all the other major American corporations, like GM and Wal-Mart and even Starbucks, have become royally furious about how much of their overhead is going to pay for employee health care and are letting Congress feel their wrath, forcing a change. It is the battle of the BushCo cronies!

See, sometimes positive change can happen, even when it's not borne of decent or humanitarian purposes. Of course your current gummint doesn't care a whit about you or your health or well-being. They care about power and money and control. But sometimes even that works out sort of OK. Weird.

A sort of chaotic, forward-lurching equilibrium prevails. Even powerful, seemingly ironclad secrets cannot hold. The Bush administration is the cagiest and most morally abusive in decades, and we've worked like paranoid ferrets to narrow the extent and application of America's landmark laws regarding open government, including the Freedom of Information Act, the Federal Advisory Committee Act and the Presidential Records Act. In other words, they don't want you to know crap about how deep their lies go.

But look. In one short year, the sneering, all-consuming GOP has gone from master of all domains, from owning every aspect of the federal government and launching multiple failed wars and abusing all laws and spying and wiretapping and torturing and lying, to one of the least stable parties in ages. Scandals, indictments, arrests, Abramoff, Enron, DeLay, thousands of dead U.S. soldiers and nothing to show for it but more enraged terrorists, an economy running on fumes. Regimes built on lies and religious fearmongering never last. It's like a genital rash -- it just seems to take forever to heal.

Are you not reassured? Because this is the amazing thing. There are languages left to learn. Countries you have still not visited. Musical drumbeats you have not felt deep in your tailbone. There are sexual positions and tongue-related sensations and deep longing stares you have yet to hold in your body the way an open palm holds a small bird. It might take another lifetime or three. This is just fine. We have time. Lots of it.

Did you know every religion in the world has some variant of a belief in past lives, in reincarnation? It's true. Most believe that this earthly plane is merely an intense cosmic schoolroom for our spirits, albeit one of the harshest and meatiest and most spasmodically radiant in the galaxies. And yet we keep coming back here, over and over, millions of times, to learn all the aspects, dark and light and murderous and blissful, so we can move to the next level, help the universe hum that much brighter.

My fellow Americans, I am here to tell you I have no freaking idea why it's set up this way. But I can tell you one thing: It sure makes for one hell of a ride.
Thank you and God bless America.

George W. Bush's legions of critics might want to consider a new tactic: Ignore him. Thanks to the seemingly endless argument about everything the president says or does -- much of it stoked by his own people -- he is still making news. No lame duck here, when it comes to grabbing headlines. That is why this administration wears the target so proudly, fueling critics at every turn with combative defenses, stubborn denials and personal counterattacks serving a most useful purpose: Every day we argue about President Bush is another day when we don't stop talking about him. For the day we no longer talk about him is the day he becomes a lame duck. -- crawfordslist.com

QUOTATIONS OF THE DAY
"The wackos get their information through the
Christian right, Christian radio, mail, the internet and telephone
trees...Simply put, we want to bring out the wackos to vote against
something and make sure the rest of the public lets the whole thing slip
past them." -- Michael Scanlon, PR executive and former aide to Rep. Tom
DeLay,

From Who's Wagging Who? - a document called "Rebuilding America's
Defenses: Strategy,
Forces and Resources for a New Century" published
by The American Enterprise's "Project for a New American Century", System Planning Corporation (SPC) International executive, Dov Zakheim, called for "some catastrophic and
catalyzing event — like a new Pearl Harbor" being necessary to foster the frame of mind needed for the American public to support a war in the Middle East that would politically and culturally reshape the region. A respected and established voice in the intelligence community, his views were eagerly accepted, and Dov went from his position at Systems Planning Corporation to become the Comptroller of the Pentagon in May 2001. Perhaps
not so coincidentally, it was an SPC subsidiary, Tridata Corporation, that oversaw the investigation after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 [see their report, as a PDF file, here].
