Wedding plans in the works for Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter.

Yesterday, I blogged the subject of election year, SHIT PEDDLING... There is so much of the stuff that smells, it could float a battleship from here to the moon. But there is one thing to be thankful for, in the 8 stinking years of Bush/Neocon's "reign of terror" and that is the creation of the many blogs of fact, with the sweet, fresh smelling, forthright criticism on the surging forces of BS... Sorting facts from fiction on their digital logs. Insights of the goings on in our today's world. CROOKS AND LIARS is one such blog. Below is this little gem which was posted halfway down their recordings of Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008. TALK ABOUT SHIT...! This would really leave me steaming, if it wasn't so unconscionably SAD!

Yet Another Distraction: The McCain Campaign Plans Bristol Palin’s Wedding
By: Nicole Belle on Sunday, September 28th, 2008 at 2:00 PM - PDT

Yes, that is a tattoo of Bristol’s name on Baby Daddy Levi Johnston’s ring finger. Anyone else picturing Todd Palin brandishing a shotgun at the tattoo parlor? And just because this campaign can’t get surreal enough, from TPM:

(Given) what we’ve seen so far, I can’t say I’d be surprised if the moral jalopy that is the McCain-Palin Straight Talk express sunk us even further into farce with something like this. From the Times of London

In an election campaign notable for its surprises, Sarah Palin, the Republican vice- presidential candidate, may be about to spring a new one — the wedding of her pregnant teenage daughter to her ice-hockey-playing fiancé before the November 4 election.

Inside John McCain’s campaign the expectation is growing that there will be a popularity boosting pre-election wedding in Alaska between Bristol Palin, 17, and Levi Johnston, 18, her schoolmate and father of her baby. “It would be fantastic,” said a McCain insider.

If this actually sways a SINGLE voter, I weep for my country. Nicole Belle

All the myths that are floated as truth, is nauseating beyond the puke bucket. The right-winged, learned ones who perhaps didn't sleep through all of their college courses, whip out the dialogue of mendacity every time they are threatened to be overthrown by THE OTHER PARTY. Oh they keep their fairytale myths alive all through their years of control but election time is when they really roll up their sleeves and get the SHIT shovels lined up to cover us all in blankets of Repulsive Untruths against our common senses and THE OTHER PARTY.

I picked up a newspaper belonging to a red bible belt area where many of the followers or better word SHEEP live and who desperately want to believe the crap their Right-winged commanders spew forth, even if it doesn't quite make sense to them.

I started reading a column that appears often in this paper by Walter Williams. This educated man pulls out statistics that I swear comes from the same source Rush Limbaugh uses... THEIR BUTTS! So easy to make up figures and so difficult to search out real honest to goodness facts... I know I try and searches do cost you in time. Better to just accept the SHIT thrown your way, because said SHIT is sort of how you want to see it anyway.

But I digress, getting back to this conservative column writer, he wrote an article on how we are so much better off today than say the 1930's or the 50's... WHAT? Mr. Williams doesn't want to use wages and income to show how things compare he rather use consumption... WHAT, AGAIN in this credit card era?

He claims it takes an average worker today, 2 hours to earn enough for 10 gallons of gas compared to 6 hours in 1935...(who had cars back then, I'll bet it wasn't your average minimum wage earner) Same with food claiming it takes 1.7 hours today to buy a "BASKET OF FOOD" and 6 hours of work in 1950... (I would like to see what the hell is in Mr. William's "BASKET OF FOOD"!) Most homemakers baked their own bread, biscuits and cakes and meals were from SCRATCH, because they didn't have to work outside the home... Today's busy Mothers have to work a 40 hour week plus shop, cook, clean and take care of their children... Ain't NO Easy Job, I know I held the double shift for years and years. Anyway, read his article at this link:

But you might want to get theClick to Enlarge puke bucket handy.

The below article is what I call "deja vu all over again" a Yogi Berra quote that says it all.

The Real Reagan Legacy

Debunking Myths About Reagan ... It tells a tale of how the Reagan years almost took our nation down... Almost, but not quite... All the people who voted Reagan in for 2 terms watched this happen but listened to the SHIT the Right-winged ones gushed, so not a lesson was learned. That is why they voted George W Bush in for 2 terms so HE would have the distinguished honor to finish our beloved USA off. Poor McGrumpyPants won't have too much to work with if the SHIT peddlers manage to pull the SHIT over the voters EYES, EARS AND STREET WISDOM once again.

PS: Sorry I used the word SHIT so often but no other word can describe so clearly what has happened to our Nation. (NOW THAT'S REAL McCLARITY FOR YA! :-? )

PS2: I know, I know there will be some who will accuse me of the very subject I am writing about... One thing I have to say to them... THE PROOF IS IN THE PUDDING! Who was in charge for the last 8 years...

As Barack Obama would say "IT WASN'T ME!"

Reagan Mythology Rewritten

The Real Reagan Legacy
Debunking Myths About Reagan
by Mike Hersh

(Political Sanity/APJP) -- Let's begin our examination of the real Reagan Legacy by taking a look at myth number one: Democrats dominated Congress all through Reagan's terms, and called all his budgets Dead On Arrival.

That's numerically and historically false. Reagan's people shoved his program through the Congress during the early Reagan years. James A. Baker, David Stockman and other Reaganites ran roughshod over Tip O'Neill and the divided Democrats in the House and Senate, and won every critical vote. This is because of the GOP majority in the Senate and the GOP-"Boll Weevil" (or "Dixiecrat") coalition in the House. Phil Gramm was a House Democrat at the time, and he even sponsored the most important Reagan budgets.

Only after the huge Reagan recession -- made worse by utterly failed Reagan "Voodoo Economics" - did Democrats regain some control in Congress. They halted some Reagan initiatives, but couldn't do much on their own. That was a time of gridlock.

Six years into Reagan's presidency, Democrats retook the Senate, and began to reverse some of Reagan's horrendous policies. By that time, Reaganomics had "accomplished" quite a bit: doubled the national debt, caused the S&L crisis, and nearly wrecked the financial system.

Which brings us to myth number two:
Jimmy Carter wrecked the economy, and Reagan's bold tax cuts saved it.

This is utterly absurd. Economic growth indices -- GDP, jobs, revenues -- were all positive when Carter left office. All plunged after Reagan policies took effect.

Reagan didn't cure inflation, the main economic problem during the Carter years. Carter's Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker tried when he raised interest rates. That's the opposite of what Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan has done to keep inflation low.

Carter's policies and people fought inflation, but maintained real growth. On the other hand, Reagan's policies helped cause the worst recession since the Great Depression: two bleak years with nearly double-digit unemployment! Reaganomics failed in less than a year, and it took an entire second year for the economy to recover from the failure.

Carter didn't cause the inflation problem, but his tough policies and smart personnel solved it. Unfortunately for Carter, it took too long for the good results to kick in. Not only didn't Reagan help whip inflation, he actually opposed the Volcker policies!

Another major myth: Reagan cut taxes on all Americans, and that led to a great expansion.

Here's the truth: the total federal tax burden increased during the Reagan years, and most Americans paid more in taxes after Reagan than before. The "Reagan Recovery" was unremarkable. It looks great only contrasted against the dismal Reagan Recession -- but it had nothing to do with Supply Side voodoo.

With a red ink explosion -- $300 BILLION deficits looming as far as the eye could see -- GOP Senators, notably including Bob Dole, led the way on tax hikes. The economy enjoyed its recovery only after total tax increases larger than the total tax cuts were implemented. Most importantly, average annual GDP growth during the Reagan 80s was lower than during the Clinton 90s or the JFK-LBJ 60s!

Enough about the economy. Here's the biggest myth of them all: Ronald Reagan won the "Cold War". In reality, Reagan did nothing to bring down the Soviet Union.

By 1980, the Soviet Union was trying to cut its own defense spending. Reagan made it harder for them to do so. In fact, Reagan increased the possibility of a nuclear war because he was -- frankly, and sadly -- senile. He thought we could actually recall submarine-launched nuclear missiles (talk about a Reagan myth), and bullied the Soviets to highest alert several times.

Critically, Reagan never even tried to bring down the Soviet Union.

Wasteful overspending on defense didn't end the Soviet Union. In fact, it played into the hands of authoritarian "Communist" hard-liners in the Kremlin. Reagan thought the Soviet Union was more powerful than we were. He was trying to close what he called "the window of vulnerability."

This was sheer idiocy.

No general in our military would trade our armed forces for theirs. If it were to happen, none of the Soviet military command would turn down that deal. We had better systems, better troops, and better morale.

Here's the truth: we'd already won the Cold War before Reagan took office. All Reagan needed to do was continue the tried-and-true containment policies Harry S. Truman began and all subsequent presidents employed. The Soviet Union was Collapsing from within. The CIA actually told this to Reagan as he took office.

Here's an example: the Soviet Union military couldn't deal with a weak state on its own border, the poor, undermanned Afghanistan. Most of the Soviets' military might had to make sure its "allies" in the Warsaw Pact and subjects along the South Asian front didn't revolt. Even Richard Nixon told Reagan he could balance the budget with big defense cuts.

Reagan ignored this, and wrecked our budget.

We didn't have to increase weapons spending, but Reagan didn't care. He ran away from summits with the dying old-guard Soviets, and the new-style "glasnost" leadership of Mikhail Gorbachev baffled the witless Reagan and his closed-minded extremist advisors.

Maggie Thatcher finally cajoled the Gipper into meeting Gorby, and Gorby cleaned Reagan's clock. Reagan's hard-right "handlers" nearly had to drag Reagan out of the room before he signed away our entire nuclear deterrent. Reagan -- and the planet -- was lucky Gorbachev sought genuine and stable peace. Had Yuri Andropov's health held, Reagan's "jokes" and gaffes might have caused World War III.

Eventually Reagan even gave Gorbachev his seal of approval. Visiting Moscow before the August Coup, Reagan said the Soviet Union was no longer the "Evil Empire." He predicted his friend Gorbachev would lead the Soviet Union for many years to come.

As usual, Reagan was wrong. A few months later, disgruntled military officers kidnapped Gorbachev, throwing him out of power forever. Reagan remained disengaged: nothing he did caused the coup, and nothing he did made the Soviet military support Boris Yeltsin over their superiors.

We're all fortunate things happened as they did -- but once again, Reagan did nothing to make this fluke more likely.

All this is vintage Reagan. Reagan took credit for others' hard word and hard choices, and blamed them for his failures. Reagan even blamed Jimmy Carter for Reagan's foolish, fatal, and reckless decision to leave 243 Marines stationed in Beirut, helpless and unguarded.

Reagan hired over 100 crooks to run our government, and broke several laws himself. His policies were almost uniformly self-defeating, wrong-headed, immoral and unfair.

Reagan was an actor playing the part of the president. He was style over substance; lucky, not good.

And once the myths are stripped from the "legacy", the truth becomes obvious: Reagan was by far the most overrated man in American history.

Jon Stewart, Right On Target, AGAIN!

Jon Stewart, Right On Target, AGAIN!

Bush is at it again, he dusted off his 2003 War Mongering speech, rearranged a word or two, here and there and hammered us ALL over the head with it AGAIN! Ahhhhh, run and hide under the bed, the Boogieman is after us but this time he's not bearded and living in Iraq... This time Boogieman looks like this ... YIKES!

Do the Republicans still think WE ARE THAT DUMB? You bet they do. But with the likes of Jon Stewart on our side, they can't believe in our inability to grasp reality, for long. What would we do without Ole' Stewart, he pulls out videos
from the past and plays them side by side with newly recorded ones... Guess
what? They almost sound, sputter by sputter the same... Can't Ole 43
come up with some new material for Pete's sake? I guess not when you are the proprietor of a ONE TRACK MIND!

Conservatives starting to panic about Palin

Prominent conservatives are finally starting to realize that an unqualified half-term hockey mom from Alaska might not be the best choice to be a 72 year old heartbeat away from the presidency. Here’s the brutal roundup.

Kathleen Parker:

It was fun while it lasted.

Palin’s recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity, and now Katie
Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident candidate. Who Is
Clearly Out Of Her League.

No one hates saying that more than I do. Like so many women, I’ve been pulling
for Palin, wishing her the best, hoping she will perform brilliantly. I’ve also
noticed that I watch her interviews with the held breath of an anxious parent,
my finger poised over the mute button in case it gets too painful.Unfortunately, it often does. My cringe reflex is exhausted. Palin filibusters. She repeats words, filling space with deadwood. Cut the verbiage and there’s not much content there.

Wingnut extaordinaire K-Lo:

I’m not where my friend Kathleen Parker is — wanting her to step aside to spend
more time with her family and Alaska — but that’s not a crazy suggestion.

McCain campaign insiders, via Ed Schultz:

McCain Camp insiders say Palin “clueless”

Capitol Hill sources are telling me that senior McCain people are more than
concerned about Palin. The campaign has held a mock debate and a mock press
conference; both are being described as “disastrous.” One senior McCain aide was
quoted as saying, “What are we going to do?” The McCain people want to move this
first debate to some later, undetermined date, possibly never. People on the
inside are saying the Alaska Governor is “clueless.” Etc., etc., etc., etc. CROOKS AND LIARS

Palin talks to Couric -- and if she's lucky, few are listening
James Rainey - LATimes

Her third nationally televised interview, with CBS anchor Katie Couric, found Palin rambling, marginally responsive and even more adrift than during her network debut with ABC’s Charles Gibson....

Katie Couric carves up Sarah Palin

Kansas City Star

Palin looks unprepared to be vice president (and certainly president)...

Couric shines, Palin doesn't in CBS interview

The Oregonian

Ouch. Only one of the two women showed poise, focus and a good grasp of the facts, and it wasn't the one who's running for vice president....

I’m sorry — Sarah Palin is a bad joke

Jay Bookman - Atlanta Journal and Constitution

Palin is living, breathing proof that John McCain lies when he claims to put this country first over politics. She makes Dan Quayle look like Albert Einstein with a better haircut.

Shameless and clueless Sarah Palin

David Horsey - Seattle Post-Intelligencer

How would Republicans be reacting if Gov. Christine Gregoire were the Democratic candidate for vice president and she claimed that, because Washington borders Canada and sends trade missions to Japan and China and Russia, she is, therefore, experienced in foreign policy? And what if Gregoire also claimed to be a seasoned commander-in-chief because she is titular head of the Washington National Guard? We all know how Republicans would react: they would roar with mocking laughter. And they would be absolutely right to mock such idiotic pretense.

Jake Tapper quotes conservative columnist

Kathleen Parker

Watching the CBS interview of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin did not exactly fill Parker with confidence:

"Palin's recent interviews with Charles Gibson, Sean Hannity and now
Katie Couric have all revealed an attractive, earnest, confident
candidate. Who Is Clearly Out Of Her League.

Babbling Palin ‘makes George Bush sound like Cicero’ Rod Dreher a religious-conservative blogger who frequently appears on Fox News and was as recently as last week a Palin supporter, says the Alaskan Governor "was mediocre". Dreher says he felt "embarrassed" listening to Palin "regurgitating talking points mechanically, not thinking. [She’s] just babbling.

She makes George W. Bush sound like Cicero."

Talk about brutal!
Who's still excited about her here?

I had said to myself on numerous occasions, if Obama ever shows up in the proximity of my neighborhood, (take or leave a few hundred miles) I will go to see him in the flesh. Barack Obama, is like a dream come true for me and my fellow Democrats. He embodies for us, the reason we chose this party over the other big one and all of the smaller ones.

It's not easy being a Progressive, Populist Democrat, especially since the hypnotic propagandizing by Karl Rove, who mesmerized so many Americans with his hypocritical rhetoric that if you don't share his political neoconservative, ideology you are subhuman. He was a master at penetrating minds with nuances such as...

** If you are of low income, you have only yourself to blame.

** If you are uneducated, it's your own fault.

** If you think War is not an answer to a problem, you are un-American.

** If you dare to question the government's role in spying on the people or
arresting people without due process, you are anti-patriotic.

** If you believe TORTURE is wrong, you are siding with the terrorists.

** If you believe state and church should be separate, you are GODLESS AND EVIL.

** And dare to say a word against the McCain/Bush/Cheney practices of
deregulation, no-contract bids and the good ole boys agreement of YOU SCRATCH MY BACK AND I'LL SCRATCH YOURS, Karl Rove and his followers tell you to...' GET THE HELL OUT OF 'THEIR' COUNTRY!'

For eight long years we've had to endure this RAG from those under the Karl Rove influence. They took our flag and turned it into a symbol of bigotry, hatred, xenophobia and opinionated judgement. (I haven't flown my flag outside my home in almost 8 years and I want MY flag's pride back.)

I believe, Barack Obama, will bring back our flag, bring back America's honor, bring back our National Pride and restore OUR America to the country it was created for. ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL. In other words, a return to common sense, and lead us out of the Neocon-Twilight Zone we've been living in for eight long, very long years.

Please watch the video from my Jacksonville Florida visit with Barack Obama and share the joy of having two politicians, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, in our midst who possess dignity, hope and integrity, leaders we can trust to bring us THE CHANGE WE HAVE SO LONGED FOR AND DESPERATELY NEEDED! Hope can and will conquer all. i have only one last thought... I HOPE IT'S NOT TOO LATE! thinkingblue

Obama rips McCain in Jacksonville

Returning to the city where John McCain said Monday that the "fundamentals of the economy
are strong," Barack Obama told 12,000 people (and up to 8,000 more outside the
fence) in Jacksonville this afternoon that he is best equipped to get the
country out of the economic meltdown.

-- "We can’t steer ourselves out of this crisis with a driver who wants to go
the same way -- into the ditch. And that’s what this election is all about."

-- "The events of this week have shown that the stakes of this election could
not be higher, they could not be clearer."

-- "I think it’s pretty clear Sen. McCain is a little panicked. At this point
he’s willing to say anything, do anything, change any position."

-- "Don’t believe those commercials. I'm a tax cutter. I'm going to put some
money in your pockets."

My father use to say that we may never know the extent of the damaged that the Regan administration did to our country, and that may indeed be
true. However, it is abundantly clear that we will not only know the
extent of damage the Bush Administration has done to our country, but also pay dearly for it.

His traitorous puppet masters walk with millions and billions, and leave the result of their irresponsible greed to our nation’s children and grandchildren to pay. For this first time in my adult life, I am truly ashamed of my country’s leadership, and I believe they and their puppet master should be tried for treason against
our nation and spend the rest of their dishonorable lives in prison.

May God have mercy on all of us. Posted by: September 20, 2008 at 04:28 PM

If Obama Loses Racism is the only reason McCain might beat him.

Barack Obama

What with the Bush legacy of reckless war and economic mismanagement, 2008 is a
year that favors the generic Democratic candidate over the generic Republican
one. Yet Barack Obama, with every natural and structural advantage in the
presidential race, is running only neck-and-neck against John McCain, a sub-par
Republican nominee with a list of liabilities longer than a Joe Biden monologue.
Obama has built a crack political operation, raised record sums, and inspired
millions with his eloquence and vision. McCain has struggled with a fractious
campaign team, lacks clarity and discipline, and remains a stranger to charisma.
Yet at the moment, the two of them appear to be tied. What gives?

If it makes you feel better, you can rationalize Obama's
missing 10-point lead on the basis of Clintonite sulkiness, his slowness in
responding to attacks, or the concern that Obama may be too handsome, brilliant,
and cool to be elected. But let's be honest: If you break the numbers down, the
reason Obama isn't ahead right now is that he trails badly among one group,
older white voters. He does so for a simple reason: the color of his skin.

Much evidence points to racial prejudice as a factor that could be large enough
to cost Obama the election. That warning is written all over last month's
CBS/New York Times poll, which is worth examining in detail if you want a quick
grasp of white America's curious sense of racial grievance. In the poll, 26
percent of whites say they have been victims of discrimination. Twenty-seven
percent say too much has been made of the problems facing black people.
Twenty-four percent say the country isn't ready to elect a black president. Five
percent of white voters acknowledge that they, personally, would not vote for a
black candidate.

Right-Wing Hate on Talk Radio Shows

The Right-Wing Talk Radio Hate Shows

I could never understand why anyone would want to listen to the hateful shows on right-wing talk radio. Especially, those who proclaim that their religion keeps them on the straight and narrow. Listening to the disgusting rhetoric these Shock Jockeys spew forth creates barbarity in those who refuse to think... When minds are so full of the nonsense from the right-wing creeps, who's only objective is to make money and control the masses, they tend to wreck havoc upon the innocent. (case-in-point, the pathetic nut who went on a shooting rampage at the UU church in TN.) We are all in the same boat. We love and want peace so why look upon each other as though we are just pockets of vermin. Haven't we had enough HATE? I guess there are some who would answer NO, because they live for aversion. Here's a little advice for DITTO-HEADS, you can live in peace, it's really quite simple, just turn your damn radios off and have a nice day. :)

Please watch the youtube video:

show, Friday nights on PBS. To get the entire enlightening broadcast, please

Moyers takes a look at the harm Hate Jockeys can do when they
spew forth their venom. They don't care, they make money. Isn't that why our
entire financial system is falling apart because the bottom line is to make
MONEY no matter who gets hurts.
A message from the UU church in Tennessee: Standing with our Tennessee Valley
Sisters and Brothers David Pyle, Summer Minister, Unitarian Church of Evanston

'It is with great sympathy and a heavy heart that I write in support,
solidarity, and sympathy with the members, ministers and friends of the
Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in my home town of Knoxville
Tennessee. TVUUC was the first UU congregation where I attended worship in our
faith. It seems unfathomable that this beautiful sanctuary that means so much to
me was marked by the trauma and violence of this mornings attack, (July 27, 2008)

We are a close-knit religious faith, and the bonds between us are tight across
the nation. Our faith tells us that what happens to one of us, happens to us
all. The loss and injury of these brave men and women, and the psychic and
spiritual trauma upon this congregation, is felt by us all. We mourn together.

How low can Republicans Go?

Breaking News: Republicans are gathering addresses on foreclosed properties so former occupants (democrats only) will be turned away from polling places because they do not live there anymore!

How low can Republicans Go?

It's bottomless! I swear these people, the Republican people, who run elections have no soul. I know, sadly, there is enough dirty tricks to go around in all the political persuasions. But the Repubs really know how to pull off the dirtiest of dirty tricks, without blinking an eye! I wonder why that is? Is it because they believe rules and laws are meaningless when it comes to getting their party the winning prize?. Or maybe they just have been mentally conditioned and have become barbarian brutes, due to using, low blows for so long they can't tell RIGHT from WRONG any longer?. I believe it's the latter, with quite a bit of truth in the former. Read about how they (repubs) wish to use the property addresses of those unfortunate individuals who have had their shelters, their family homes, their belongings, ( and dreams they fought to fulfill using all the blood, sweat and tears they could muster only to be thrown out on the streets) confiscated by foreclosure, so they would be disqualified from voting because they no longer lived at such address. Calling it disgusting is way too mild. thinkingblue

Harper's has a lengthy article this month about the casualties of foreclosure. Please read the poignant account on what happens to those victims and I do mean VICTIMS of the Republican Led Financial Disaster of no oversight on Subprime Mortgage Lender practices within the USA Financial Institutions. It's a read of the stark reality behind all the numbers you see and hear from the media the, hard numbers of sadness...
Bleak Houses"

The subprime mortgage crisis is an ongoing economic problem
characterized by contracted liquidity in the global credit markets and banking
system. An undervaluation of real risk in the subprime market is cascading,
rippling and ultimately adversely affecting the world economy.

The crisis began with the bursting of the United States housing bubble and high
default rates on "subprime" and adjustable rate mortgages (ARM). Loan
incentives, such as easy initial terms, in conjunction with an acceleration in
rising housing prices encouraged borrowers to assume difficult mortgages on the
belief they would be able to quickly refinance at more favorable terms. However,
once housing prices started to drop moderately in 2006–2007 in many parts of the
U.S., refinancing became more difficult. Defaults and foreclosure activity
increased dramatically, as easy initial terms expired, home prices failed to go
up as anticipated, and ARM interest rates reset higher. Foreclosures accelerated
in the United States in late 2006 and triggered a global financial crisis
through 2007 and 2008. During 2007, nearly 1.3 million U.S. housing properties
were subject to foreclosure activity, up 79% from 2006. more here

The Creature from Jekyll Island (Scary Stuff)

WARNING! You are about to enter the Reality Zone, a place where truth is stranger than fiction, where knowledge is king, where myths are shattered and deceptions exposed. Those who enter can never return to the Twilight Zone from which they came.

The Creature from Jekyll Island (SCARY STUFF) DOWNLOAD

In the wake of the Lehman Brothers, bankruptcy... and the long queue of other banks and mortgage companies ready to follow this, 158-year-old bank burdened by $60 billion in real-estate holdings, in a freefall slide down the ole' crapper. This is an interesting but frightening piece. The download takes more than a few minutes but is well worth the time. The only question I have upon listening to it, IS... What the hell can we do about it???

G. Edward Griffin says, "slay the creature" (federal reserve
sys) in Congress. With an informed electorate this can happen... We must all do our part to bring about change. Blogging is one way to GET THE WORD OUT.

Education and information is really the answer. If we were all informed, the political nonsense we see upon our BOOB-TUBES would never penetrate the USA psyche. We can't keep going down hill like this. The bottom is harder than ROCK. Please download the mp3 as a start and pass it around. I hope this will at least enlighten just one person. If it does, I have done a little bit to help thwart such a dire outcome for our nation and world. If you don't have the time for the mp3 you can see Griffin on youtube:

I'm not a Ron Paul fan because I believe, there would
have been no way he could have brought about this needed change (I could be wrong). It will take some intellect, some strong thinking types and I believe an Obama/Biden administration could possibly be the beginning of the end
to the world's greedy habits by a few. The monster is big and out of control but we must believe in hope. The audacity of HOPE, is certainly needed now.

History is being made.

7 years and Republicans, Still using 911 As Their TM

The New Republican Holiday Click here9-11: The people's tragedy not the Republican

The Republican Party, stole the 9-11 appalling saga to further their neoconservative power agenda. After 7 years, they are still referring to it as something belonging to them. Vote for me and our country will be safe from another horrendous attack upon our soil. Vote for the other party and a violent infraction from some enemy will surely occur. We heard it solidly for the first four faux years of the neocon Bush administration, mostly to justify their illegal war. Now that Bush will soon sequester to the back pages of history under the subject, USA's worst presidents. Still, STILL, this party with NO shame, is using the tragedies of that infamous day in September 2001, when America was used like a stuffed leather bag, bludgeoned over and over again, to promote terror. They act as though they are saddened by the events of that terrible day but when they use it like a tool to get the power they so lust for, how can anyone believe their lament. Keith Olbermann, so poignantly put into words, how he feels, how I feel, how so many of you feel, the disgust and anguish we grip each time they use it as a prop.

At THEIR OWN CONVENTION, they used it AGAIN as a prop to bolster their standing amongst the American voters. A PROP OF FEAR! This party of disservice has no shame and they will go on and on lying, misconstruing and whatever it takes to keep power. They care not for this land that so many have died for. They live, breath and sustain only with one objective, to stay on the course of power whether or not they destroy the very thing they wish to control. It's time for all who THINK, who truly want the best for our country because we know it will belong to so many who will come long after us, to say ENOUGH! If this actually does not happen this election time around we may be a country so weakened by the avaricious blunders of the right-wing, we will become easy pickings for the power brutes of the world. Our epitaph will read... HERE LIES A ONCE POWERFUL, PROUD COUNTRY, BROUGHT DOWN BY THE UNSCRUPULOUS, WHO LIVED UPON ITS VERY SOIL, WHILE TURNING IT TO STONE. (Update Below Keith's Comments Video)

Keith Olbermann: 9/11 TM Special Comment

Keith was visibly upset after the GOP ran their 9/11 “tribute” ad during last week’s
convention. Tonight, that outrage manifested itself in yet another scathing
Special Comment aimed at John McCain and the rest of the 9/11 exploiting GOPers.

This is supposed to be a day of remembrance. Remembrance of the attack,
remembrance of the national unity which followed it. Most important of all, remembrance of the dead.

But 9/11 has become…… a brand name. A Republican campaign
slogan. Propaganda of the lowest form. 9/11 has become… 9/11, with a trademark logo.

Olbermann: Bush Is Using 9/11 to Destroy OUR Constitution

When those who dissent are told time and time again — as we will be, if not
tonight by the President, then tomorrow by his portable public chorus — that he is preserving our freedom, but that if we use any of it, we are somehow un-American…

When we are scolded, that if we merely question, we have "forgotten the
lessons of 9/11"… look into this empty space behind me and the bi-partisanship upon which this administration also did not build, and tell me:

Who has left this hole in the ground?

We have not forgotten, Mr. President.

You have.

May this country forgive you.

Good "Heroine of the Cosmos", Palin has jumped on the bandwagon to link Iraq and 9-11. Even though, it has long been debunked and proven a lie given to the American population to support the Iraq threat so that neoconservatives could realize their pipedream of going to war with Iraq... thinkingblue

Speaking before troops bound for Iraq, Palin linked the Iraq war with the
September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, an
idea that has long been debunked and rejected.

"You'll be there to defend the innocent from the enemies who planned and carried
out and rejoiced in the death of thousands of Americans," Palin said.

At one time, the Bush Administration promoted the notion that the Iraq war was
linked to the 9-11 attacks but the idea has since been dropped by even President
Bush. From: NCDem youtube channel

In today's 9/11/08-recruiting for al qaeda encore excerpt--Abdullah Azzam recruits teenagers and young men for Al Qaeda's battles in Afghanistan during the mid-1980s, taking full advantage of their vulnerability born of oppression and deprivation:

"It was death, not victory in Afghanistan, that summoned many young Arabs to

book-stores. ... He told stories of the mujahideen who
defeated vast columns of Soviet troops virtually single-handedly. He claimed
that some of the brave warriors had been run over by tanks but survived; others
were shot, but the bullets failed to penetrate. If death came, it was even more
miraculous. ... Bodies of martyrs uncovered after a year in the grave still
smelled sweet and their blood continued to flow....

"The lure of an illustrious and meaningful death was especially powerful in
cases where the pleasures and rewards of life were crushed by government
oppression and economic deprivation. From Iraq to

country that the extraordinary abundance of petroleum had failed to generate any other significant source of income; indeed, if one subtracted the oil revenue of
the Gulf countries, 260 million

the gap between rising expectations and declining opportunities. This is
especially true where the population is young, idle, and bored; where the art is
impoverished; where entertainment--movies, theater, music--is policed or absent
altogether; and where young men are set apart from the consoling and socializing
presence of women. Adult illiteracy remains the norm in many Arab countries.
Unemployment was among the highest in the developing world. Anger, resentment and humiliation spurred young Arabs to search for dramatic remedies.

"Martyrdom promised such young men an ideal alternative to a life that was so
sparing in its rewards. ... And for those young men who came from cultures where women are shuttered away and rendered unattainable for someone without
prospects, martyrdom offered the conjugal pleasures of seventy-two virgins ..."

Always a police (RIOT) in Patriot Act

The GOP Lunatic Fringe's Political Twilight Zone (revisited)

After 8 long years of the Bush Twilight Zone. Here we are again being sucked into the McCain's version of this same Zone. Where the HELL is reality? McCain's pick of Sarah Palin is almost as troubling as a W. Bush second win. After proving himself totally incompetent with his first 4 years, the US people gave him the majority vote to rule for another 4 years. I know the rest of the world must think of us as Nut Cases. And we deserved the title! Sarah Palin is as nutty as a Jerry Falwell, the "man" who had babbled "AIDS is not just God's punishment for homosexuals; it's God's punishment for the society that tolerates homosexuals." AND, "The idea that religion and politics don't mix was invented by the Devil to keep Christians from running their own country." ALSO, "Good Christians, like slaves and soldiers, ask no questions."

Falwell (may he rest in torment) and Palin's lunacy are woven from the same cloth. Mrs. Palin's ideas to teach creationism as a science and her fascist notion of not allowing women a choice over their own bodies even if they are raped by a stranger or a member of their own family is nauseating beyond all that is rotten. To think McCain/Palin could become an actuality is quite disconcerting but considering McCain's age and understanding the inevitable expiration of the human lifespan, it is even more heinous to come to terms with McInsane's notorious VP pick of Palin, who could one day be our President, the superpower leader of the entire world... I just don't know what to say anymore except maybe,

More from the GOP lunatic fringe:

There's always a police (RIOT) in patriot act.

Dear Friend,

I'm outraged by St. Paul law enforcement's overly aggressive and violent tactics
to stifle independent journalism.

The other day, police in St. Paul arrested several journalists, including
Democracy Now! host Amy Goodman and an AP photographer as they were covering protests of the Republican National Convention. Get involved in this campaign by demanding that press intimidation cease immediately, and that all charges be dropped.

Take action at:

This police brutality is far from new. What is new is the fact, due to technology such actions by "law enforcers" are captured on tape by average citizens. So, no matter how loud those in charge shout THESE ARRESTS WERE WARRANTED... same ole', same ole's... A video can be whipped out to prove otherwise... If only this technology had been available to the public, during the rise of Hitler, the inhuman memories of what took place during those dark times in human history, would perhaps, not have occurred...
Everyone should do what they can to expose such abusive handling of our press... Freespeech is one of the main components of a democracy. If lost, fascism WILL take its place.

Telling kids to DON'T DO IT, don't work!

what folks, teaching abstinence-only to young adolescent teens fails in
all the studies except the ones conducted by the abstinence-only
advocates. Isn't that a shocker?

Well, to anyone with a few brain cells, that was a given. From the very beginning, when Bush and his followers rejoiced and couldn't wait to hit us over the head

with their abstinence-ONLY asinine program. Of course, we should teach our teenage children good judgement, if that is at all possible when it comes to the powerful instinctual urges belonging to all life, the drive to BEGET. Try telling a teeny bobber about love and responsibility. They'll look at you,
the same way you look at a dog chasing his tail, YUP, with complete bewilderment of such a stupidity lag.

But, for most parents, the teen "eye roll" just slides off their back, down to the floor where it can be easily stepped on.

But all sarcasm aside, teaching this program alone is not just block-headed, its outrageously dangerous. By not equipping our young with knowledge on self preservation, we neglect the most basic fact of life, the instinctive teachings of fundamental survival techniques. Go and watch some wild life with their young and you will see such training.

Birds do it, Bees do it, even Monkeys in the trees do it. Let's do it, lets teach our young important "no brainer" essentials, so they can make informed decisions to help preserve our species.

AYOUTUBE VIDEO - Abstinence Only - Does Not Work! Duh!

Cole Porter, reintroduced himself to Broadway with the musical Paris

which featured one of his greatest "list" songs, "Let's Do It (Let's Fall
in Love)".

Let's Do It Lyrics

When the little bluebird
Who has never said a word
Starts to sing Spring
When the little bluebell
At the bottom of the dell
Starts to ring Ding dong Ding dong
When the little blue clerk
In the middle of his work
Starts a tune to the moon up above
It is nature that is all
Simply telling us to fall in love

And that's why birds do it, bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

EXCERPTED FROM PM CARPENTER The (Newsweek) new poll suggests white voters continue to be a challenge for Obama, with McCain leading the Democrat in that category 48 to 36 percent. Some of Obama's lag in white support may be explained by continual confusion over his religious identity. Twelve percent of voters surveyed said that Obama was sworn in as a United States senator on a Qur'an, while 26 percent believe the Democratic candidate was raised as a Muslim and 39 percent believe he attended an Islamic school as a child growing up in Indonesia. Not one of these things about Barack Obama is true!!!

We are still living in the DARK AGES as far as ignorance amongst the American populous. I don't know when it will change, if ever. When I got a job as a civil service employee, in the 60's, working for The Clerk of Quarter ssions, I had a DOOFUS (click) boyfriend tell me, not to take the job because I would be outnumbered by blacks and maybe even wind up with a black boss.

At that time, I had a friend who was a civil service employee tell me, "it's a good opportunity, don't pass it up". So I took the job and found out... HOLY JUMPING JUPITER, BATMAN, dark skin or light skin, people are all the same. Some are ASSHOLES and some are quite rational.

I became friends with several of my black co-workers and together we broke the old taboos of talking race between the races. One woman and I had a telephone conversation about America's bigotry and she felt it would never change. I was younger and more idealistic and said. 'It will take some time but will probably fade with the next generation...' Well here I am, almost two generations down the road and prejudice is quite ensconced "STILL" in the American psyche.

Sad, but let us hope that those who still hold on to their xenophobia and complete unfounded fears of anyone who looks different from themselves. Will, at long last, get so fed up with the status quo of the almighty greed and corporate powerbrokers, who use any tool (whether it is detrimental to the wellbeing of the masses or not) to hold on to their powers. Consequently, making them realize that they are just pawns to the GREED GODS who keep the unknowledgeable ignorant with lies until they are of no
value. This realization or "awakening" will end the long reign of power by those who only care about themselves. I can onlydream.

PS: this (utter stupidity) was a comment on one of my blogs...

obama bin biden this might be silly but if you put Obama and
Biden you come up with the name of osama bin laden ... come on .. how close is that name.. this is not good news for US to have osama bin binden as the people in charge.. i dont think this is an accindent .. you know this kind of scares me alot to see that name...
